Limerence is that "love at first Sight" feeling, that feeling you get when you see that person and just their presence changes everything, that feeling that no problem too big exist because you have that person. I think it's a feeling we have all experienced at least once, its magical, exciting, and unforgettable. It's funny how the human mind can quickly trick someone into believing that this person is all someone needs to feel complete, It's even more funny how quickly we fall with out fearing consequences, it's truly a mystery how this happens and how quickly we can move from person to person and say we have these feelings.
I so agree with you about at least once you have experienced this feeling. It is not a i believe one will share with everyone they have dated but it is a feeling that is unique as well as special. "Love at first sight" was the perfect reference that you made. that feeling of butterflies, is priceless.....
ReplyDeleteI agree. It's kind of crazy how fast the human mind is able to make one feel as if they need this person in order to be complete. Our brain is constantly active. When Limerence comes upon us, it as if our brain is on override. This person can then be stuck in our mind, where all we do is replay their actions and live out a much wanted fantasy in our thoughts. Limerence pushes us all off of our feet without even thinking about the consequences we might face with this sudden attraction. One feels like they have butterflies in their stomach and cannot help wanting this person, which truly has become a mystery.
ReplyDeleteI agree that limerence is when we feel like nothing in the world matters. I also agree that all of us have or will have experienced limerence at one point in our lifetime. We put everything that is going on in our life aside in order to gain more knowledge about the person that has made us feel, directly or indirectly "special" or "noticed". Nothing in our life matters whenwe are experiencing feelings of limerence. We dont think about real-life, the consequences that may mor may not arise or our next move. All that matters is what we are feeling right there in that moment. We are sent to "Cloud-9" and all we want to do is stay there.
